Long Island, NY (April 29, 2024) – A brand new fresh approach to AAU Basketball tournaments just kicked off this past weekend. The first installment of the new AAU Baller Bash Series took place this weekend in New York. Athletes from all over traveled through the five boroughs of New York for their chance to take home an AAU Baller Bash Title.  
The AAU Baller Bash is a brand-new tournament created by AAU’s National Office, with the sole focus on taking a National Invitational basketball tournament on the road throughout the country. This past weekend saw 6 unique venues spread across New York, hosting over 110 teams, 200 coaches, and over 1,400 athletes. Some of the most notable AAU programs showed up this weekend, fighting for their chance to take home THE AAU Baller Bash Title.

Six different venues played host to games throughout the weekend. Island Garden, Rising Stars Complex, State of New York Old Westbury, St Paul’s Rec Center, St. Dominic High, and Adelphi University all located in Long Island, New York were all venues hosting AAU Baller Bash games.

There were 10 different divisions each filled with teams trying to take home the first AAU Baller Bash trophy, but only one team per division was able to take home the win. Here are the winners from each age division:

The next stop of the AAU Baller Bash Series will be at Spooky Nook Sports in Kings Island, Ohio. Spooky Nook Sports is a world class venue with over 650,000 square feet of sport dedicated surfaces and fields. The Ohio Baller Bash event will coincide with 2024 AAU Basketball Girls World Championships which is projected to be a sold-out event.
