Hermosa Beach, CA - After a year of dominance on the sand, Christian “KC” Chow was named the 2025 AAU Beach Volleyball National Player of the Year.
In a morning ceremony at center court just north of the Hermosa Beach Pier, Chow was presented with his winner’s plaque by AAU Beach National Commissioner, Denny Lennon.
In 16 tournaments going back to the start of 2024, Chow’s performance made his choice quite obvious. The Hermosa Beach, CA native placed first 10 times and second in 4 more occasions.
Chow’s selection makes history. Sister London Chow was previously honored as the 2012 AAU Beach Volleyball National Player of the Year. London Chow, who played collegiately at the University of Hawaii, was on hand to watch her brother match her accomplishment. In doing so, the Chows become the first set of siblings to claim this coveted annual award.
