Entry Fee

Fee for the 2026 Ohio AAU Basketball Membership Tip Off Shootout is FREE for the first 60 teams. (AAU Membership required to receive Free entry).

Otherwise the entry free is $150.

Rules of Play

The official rules will be the National Federation High School (NFHS) rules for the current year, except where modified by the AAU Boys’ and Girls Basketball Rule Book.

Player Roster

Rosters must be submitted before playing first game.

Grade Determination

For teams that have chosen to organize on the basis of the athletes grade, and who have players who do not meet the age eligibility criteria for age based teams, the AAU provides grade based competition as follows:

2nd Grade – An athlete must be in the 2nd grade or below as of October 1, 2025 and can be no older than 9 on August 31, 2026

3rd Grade – An athlete must be in the 3rd grade or below as of October 1, 2025 and can be no older than 10 on August 31, 2026

4th Grade – An athlete must be in the 4th grade or below as of October 1, 2025 and can be no older than 11 on August 31, 2026

5th Grade – An athlete must be in the 5th grade or below as of October 1, 2025 and can be no older than 12 on August 31, 2026

6th Grade – An athlete must be in the 6th grade or below as of October 1, 2025 and can be no older than 13 on August 31, 2026

7th Grade – An athlete must be in the 7th grade or below as of October 1, 2025 and can be no older than 14 on August 31, 2026

8th Grade – An athlete must be in the 8th grade or below as of October 1, 2025 and can be no older than 15 on August 31, 2026

9th Grade Division – An athlete who is in the 9th grade as of October 1, 2025 and who is no older than 16 on August 31, 2026 is eligible to play in the 9th grade division.

10th Grade Division – An athlete who is in the 10th grade as of October 1, 2025 and who is no older than 17 on August 31, 2026 is eligible to play in the 10th grade division.

11th Grade Division – An athlete who is in the 11th grade as of October 1, 2025 and who is no older than 18 on August 31, 2026 is eligible to play in the 11th grade division.

Membership Criteria

All players must show their current AAU membership card and have a copy of a legal BIRTH CERTIFICATE available if requested.

Uniforms

Teams must have light and dark jerseys

Play Starts

Play starts at 5.00pm on 3/20/26. Arrangements will be made for teams traveling more than 100 miles (if requested).
