AAU Girls 3-on-3 National Championship
Dates: April 26-27, 2024
Location: Knoxville, Tennessee
Knoxville, Tennessee – A weekend of fierce competition, celebration, hall of fame inductions, and women’s basketball history. Women’s basketball greats and some of the best girls’ basketball players from around the country made their way to Knoxville, Tennessee. It was a chance for some of the best youth athletes to learn more about the history of the women that paved the way in women’s basketball.
A couple major events took place this past weekend, the AAU Girls 3-on-3 National Championship and the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
The weekend kicked off with the AAU Girls 3-on-3 National Championship which featured three different divisions of play, Middle School (5th-8th), High School (9th-11th) and NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association). For the middle school girls, we had an undefeated NOTHIN BUT NET take on 2029 TTP Cardinal. NOTHING BUT NET continued their undefeated streak and took home the gold. In the high school girls’ division, we saw another undefeated team, Cali Shine take on TOPGUN/Sol. Cali Shine’s undefeated run came to an end as TOPGUN/Sol battled hard and claimed the championship gold.
The NJCAA division was comprised of the top 32 sophomore players in the country. Each team was headed by a coach who followed a draft process to fill out each pool. For the NJCAA ladies we had NJCAA Jason Bonde take on NJCAA Rosalie Hayenga in the finals. NJCAA Jason Bonde took down NJCAA Rosalie Hayenga in the NJCAA Finals earning themselves an AAU Gold.
The NJCAA ladies also had 8 players selected to be named All-American players. The players as chosen by the NJCAA Board are:
Amelia Hassett – Eastern Florida (Committed to Kentucky)
Vitoria Santana – Eastern Arizona (Undecided)
Maeva Ngnawo Nguiensam – Cochise (Committed to Troy)
Kayla Hampton – Kilgore (Committed to Tulane)
Fanta Kone – Tyler JC (Committed to Sam Houston)
Nyla Inmon – Kilgore (Committed to Sam Houston)
Waiata Jennings – Collin (Undecided)
Aaliyah Holmes – New Mexico JC (Committed to Morehead State)
With the AAU Girls 3-on-3 National Championship and Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame induction ceremony happening during the same weekend, each team that made it to a championship game was awarded with an invite to the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame induction ceremony where they would be able to have the opportunity to meet legendary figures both on and off the court.

The AAU was founded in 1888 to establish standards and uniformity in amateur sports. During its early years, the AAU served as a leader in international sport representing the U.S. in the international sports federations. The AAU worked closely with the Olympic movement to prepare athletes for the Olympic Games. After the Amateur Sports Act of 1978, the AAU has focused its efforts into providing sports programs for all participants of all ages beginning at the grass roots level. The philosophy of "Sports for All, Forever," is shared by nearly 800,000 participants and over 150,000 volunteers.
