ORLANDO, Fla. (April 17, 2025) -- The AAU Basketball spring season is continuing strong this weekend at the 2025 AAU Basketball Easter Classic. Athletes will be traveling to Orlando with the determination to bring home a trophy.
Teams ranging from 3rd grade all the way up to high school seniors on the boys' side, and 5th grade through varsity for the girls' side will be traveling from all over to represent their team and possibly bring home some hardware. Athletes representing Florida, Tennessee, Bahamas, and Puerto Rico will be in attendance.
There will be nearly 200 teams attending this year’s event including 25 girl’s teams and more than 170 boy’s teams. They will be playing at 18 courts in total covering all of the action. Games will be played at the Orange County Convention Center and Game Point Event Center in Orlando, Florida.
With over 2,400 athletes in attendance and 600 coaches, this event will be a full-house with nonstop hoops.

The AAU was founded in 1888 to establish standards and uniformity in amateur sports. During its early years, the AAU served as a leader in international sport representing the U.S. in the international sports federations. The AAU worked closely with the Olympic movement to prepare athletes for the Olympic Games. After the Amateur Sports Act of 1978, the AAU has focused its efforts into providing sports programs for all participants of all ages beginning at the grass roots level. The philosophy of "Sports for All, Forever," is shared by nearly 800,000 participants and over 150,000 volunteers.
