KNOXVILLE, Tenn. –  Some of the best girls’ basketball players from around the country are heading to Knoxville, Tennessee for the AAU Girls 3-on-3 World Championships from June 10-12. There will be four divisions: 18U, 16U, 14U, and 12U.

The championship is taking place during the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame (WBHOF) Induction Weekend, allowing the athletes to learn more about the history of women’s basketball, participate in autograph and Q&A sessions with the WBHOF Class of 2022, and even attend the Induction Ceremony.

The Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2022 features three Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) alumni, including Becky Hammon, DeLisha Milton-Jones, and Alice “Cookie” Baron. Read more about their journeys with AAU here.

In addition, the WBHOF will honor Title IX as the “Trailblazer of the Game” recipient. As Title IX enters its 50th anniversary, the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame Board of Directors voted to give the award, typically designated for teams and organizations, to the Title IX legislation that afforded the opportunity for many female athletes to blaze their own trails.

The Induction Ceremony will air on ESPNU June 11 at 6 p.m. It will be re-broadcast June 13 at 7:30 p.m., June 15 at 3 p.m., and June 18 at 1:30 p.m.
