DETROIT, Michigan (August 3, 2017) - The 51st AAU Junior Olympic Games have taken over the Detroit, Michigan area since the start of competition on July 27th.
Thousands of athletes from across 45 states have traveled to Detroit, Mich. for the chance to capture a gold medal.
Sports taking place today are field hockey at Detroit Country Day School, baton twirling, powerlifting, taekwondo and wrestling at the Suburban Collection Showcase in Novi and the largest sport in the games, track and field held at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti.
