On Saturday April 30th at the annual DI Girls Massachusetts State Championships, longtime NEAAU Basketball contributor Janice Zenevitch was inducted into the NEAAU Sports Hall of Fame. Congratualtions to Janice and thank you for all your contributions to AAU here in New England: Below are some of Janice's AAU resume:
1999-Present : Director of New England Spirit
1999-2007: Coach of New England Spirit National Team
2004-2005: Massachusetts State AAU Director
2004-Present: NEAAU Review Committee (Boys Basketball)
2002: Massachusetts AAU State Champions w/ New England Spirit
1998-2009: Athletic Director at Sacred Hearts School, Bradford, MA

The AAU was founded in 1888 to establish standards and uniformity in amateur sports. During its early years, the AAU served as a leader in international sport representing the U.S. in the international sports federations. The AAU worked closely with the Olympic movement to prepare athletes for the Olympic Games. After the Amateur Sports Act of 1978, the AAU has focused its efforts into providing sports programs for all participants of all ages beginning at the grass roots level. The philosophy of "Sports for All, Forever," is shared by nearly 800,000 participants and over 150,000 volunteers.
