The NEAAU Baseball is proud to have so many highly experienced ans skilled professionals serve on its Advisory Board to ensure AAU Baseball continues to grow and adapt with the game.

Ken Ryan


Ken was born in Pawtucket RI and was raised in nearby Seekonk MA. He fulfilled a dream by signing a contract with the Boston Red Sox after graduating from Seekonk High School in 1986. After 7 years in the A, AA & AAA levels of the Red Sox organization, Ken made his Major League debut with the Boston Red Sox in 1992. Ken was an important part of the Boston Red Sox bullpen from 1993-1995. Ken won 7 games for the Red Sox in '93 and in '94 collected 13 saves with a 2.44 era. After the '95 season Ken was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies. He had a spectacular '96 campaign with a 2.43 era and 7 saves. In all Ken spent 15 years in professional baseball playing for Boston, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Kansas City and the New York Yankee organizations. Ken oversees all baseball programs at the KR Baseball Academy and is the lead instructor of all pitching classes.

Ken Giard


Ken, a current coach in the RI Rays AAU Baseball Program, was the 11th round draft pick by the Atlanta Braves in 1991 after capturing the Rhode Island State Baseball Class A Championship at McCoy Stadium.

Ken's nine years in professional baseball were spent with both the Atlanta Braves and Pittsburgh Pirates organizations.

Ken Hopkins


Coach Hopkins, former coach of the Community College of Rhode Island, was named the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Diamond Sports Company Eastern District Coach of the Year.

Hopkins is the CCRI Baseball Program’s all-time wins leader with a 304-141-2 overall record over his 12 seasons as head coach.

Frank Niles


Frank is the founder of the South Shore Baseball Academy located in Hingham, Massachusetts which has been an AAU Club for over 20 years. Frank's coaching and playing highlights include:
