The AAU is awarding $100,000 in scholarships. Each recipient will receive $25,000 each! These remarkable student-athletes have demonstrated excellence not only in sports but also through academic and community service.
Nathalie Tsai - AAU Volleyball National Scholarship
With a 4.4 GPA, strong involvement in her local community, and tenure as an eight-year AAU Volleyball, the AAU is pleased to announce that Nathalie Tsai has been selected as one of the four scholarship recipients for 2025. Nathalie Tsai has proven herself to be both athletically and academically well-rounded through achievements such as being named the 2025 DeKalb County Volleyball Player of the Year, being elected Senior Secretary for the National Honor Society, organizing events for the Taiwanese School of Atlanta, and receiving the 2025 Coca-Cola Citizenship Award. The Amateur Athletic Union is honored to congratulate her as one of this year’s winners.
Michael L. Eggleston Jr. - AAU Karate National Scholarship
Being resilient in the fight of losing his father and showing an unwavering dedication to succeed past the challenges thrown in his life, the Amateur Athletic Union is pleased to announce Michael L. Eggleston Jr. as another recipient of the 2025 AAU National Scholarship. Michael began his journey in the AAU at 3 years old and has since been a proud representative of AAU Karate nationally and internationally. Despite the recent loss of his father, Michael continues to serve the AAU community through volunteering over 200 hours of training and teaching karate to the youth, as well as aiding in event operations for AAU-hosted events, all while managing to hold honor roll and receiving the Chalkley Lambert Memorial Scholarship. Throughout his almost life-long journey as an AAU member, he has continued to demonstrate resilience, passion, and a will to make the next day better than the last. The Amateur Athletic Union is honored to congratulate him as one of this year’s winners.
Kaysen Goodell – AAU Basketball National Scholarship
Even after spending her senior year with a torn ACL and meniscus, Kaysen Goodell was not deterred from attending team practices and supporting her team in games. She has participated in major AAU tournaments for the past three years through her basketball team, Team Wisconsin. All while holding a 3.5 GPA for over three years, Kaysen is dedicated to Animal Science and receiving her degree to aid her local farming community, who have given so much to her. Kaysen’s work ethic through adversity and plan to assist others using her degree make her an ideal representative of who the Amateur Athletic Union is honored to grant this scholarship. Congratulations to Kaysen!
Kaleb Williams – AAU Track and Field National Scholarship
An exceptional 18-time AAU All-American and two-time AAU National Javelin Champion, Kaleb Williams is this year’s recipient of the Track & Field AAU National Scholarship. Kaleb has incredible academic accomplishments outside of his athletic ones, such as a 6.45 weighted GPA and a 1380 SAT score. Over the past nine years, he has participated in AAU track and field, and aside from javelin, he has competed nationally in discus, decathlon, and shot put. His intended major is Civil Engineering with a focus on transportation resources within this field, trying to create sustainability and accessibility through public transportation. After going undefeated in the Florida State Javelin Series, he is the #1 athlete in Florida and #21 in the nation. Aside from his academics and athletics, he has also been involved in local booster clubs and youth theaters in his area.
All four scholarship recipients have shown hard work, resilience, and determination, all whilst staying humble, through various challenges. The AAU is honored to celebrate these exceptional student-athletes for their impact on their respective communities. We look forward to seeing where they go from here and are grateful to be able to aid them in beginning their collegiate journey.
