AAU Boys' Basketball Age/Grade Verification Options
Proof of photo identification for eligibility must be available for review, by an AAU designee, at all Boys' Basketball World Championship events and at the discretion of any host of an AAU licensed event. If the documents are not available, the team is subject to removal from the competition. Boys' Basketball offers several options for age/grade verification, which are as follows:
- National Sports I.D. - Electronic Age/Grade Verification through National Sports ID (A yearly fee of $10.00 validates your eligibility for licensed AAU events).
- An unexpired Passport
- Valid Driver's License
- Department of Motor Vehicles I.D. card issued within three (3) years
- Military Dependent I.D. The current year school I.D. (2024-2025) w/picture and a copy of the birth certificate
- A photocopy of the athletes' report card for the current school year (2024-2025) which shows name, grade and school
- Confirmation of grade level from a school administrator (guidance counselor, principal, dean, etc.) on school letterhead
- National Sports I.D. with grade verification
