August 2007 - Jennifer Reynolds of Riverview , Florida is the 2007 recipient of the AAU Joel Ferrell Outstanding Performance Memorial Award. This most prestigious award recognizes outstanding athletic accomplishments and sportsmanship on an athlete representing each official sport at the AAU Junior Olympic Games.
Reynolds, a sophomore at the University of Florida , is a previous gold medalist at the 2004, 2005 and recent 2007 AAU Junior Olympic Games. A current member of the Gatorettes Twirling team, she also spends her time volunteering many hours in preparation for the event and at events such as the annual AAU Girls N'Sports. A previous winner of the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship, Reynolds graduated high school with an IB Diploma and a 6.28 GPA, placing in the top 10 percent of all Hillsborough County (FL) School District graduates.
Previous winner of the AAU Joel Ferrell Award, Lindsay True, of Poquoson , Virginia proudly presented Reynolds with the handsome trophy. A twirler since the age of 2, True is no stranger to the sport. She took home the award in 2006 adding to her already impressive resume of accomplishments.
