Football teams are traveling to Las Vegas, Nevada for the 2022 West Coast AAU Football National Championship, kicking off on Saturday, January 15. The 2022 AAU Football Cheer West Coast Nationals are also taking place in Vegas.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (January 14, 2022) – Football teams are traveling to Las Vegas, Nevada and betting on themselves to take home the 2022 West Coast AAU Football National Championship, kicking off on Saturday, January 15.
While the tournament has been going on in California for 10 plus years, for the first time, the West Coast AAU Football National Championship games will be taking place in Las Vegas. Athletes will be taking the field at Pinecrest Academy of Nevada, Sloan Canyon and Pinecrest Academy Cadence. Both fields are only 20 minutes away from the Las Vegas Strip and Allegiant Stadium, the new home of the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders.
California, Texas, and local teams from Nevada will be competing against one another this year. More than 20 teams will take the field this weekend, making up 5 divisions. 6u, 8u, 10u, and 12u Tackle Football, as well as 6u Flag Football will all be represented.
“It’s really exciting to help in the development of AAU Football in Nevada,” said Rod Tanner and Ron Bellamy, Tournament Directors and AAU Football National Committee Members.
This will be the first time Nevada will be working in collaboration with California and Texas AAU Football.
“We’d like to thank the local AAU Nevada Committee for their help and support,” said Tanner and Bellamy. “And a huge thank you to the California and Texas committee members. We all worked tirelessly to make this happen in today’s climate of change.”
This is an event for all licensed AAU Clubs and Athletes.
Also being held this weekend in Las Vegas is the 2022 AAU Football Cheer West Coast National Championship. This will be a one-day event held Saturday, January 15th at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Event hours are 9:00am to 8:00pm pacific time.
