RECAP: 2021 AAU Boys' and Girls' Easter Classic

The 2021 AAU Easter Classic held at the Orange County Convention Center and Game Point Events Center in Orlando, Florida had a significant turnout as 1,800 athletes participated in the three-day tournament.

ORLANDO, Fla. - The 2021 AAU Easter Classic held at the Orange County Convention Center and Game Point Events Center in Orlando, Florida had a significant turnout as 1,800 athletes participated in the three-day tournament.

AAU Basketball hosted back-to-back tournaments in late March/early April with the AAU Spring Classic and Spring Fling took place March 26-28. A week later teams were back out on the court for the AAU Easter Classic vying for another tournament title.

115 boys’ teams and five girls’ teams from seven different states across the United States competed in two days of pool play before taking on the single-elimination bracket on Championship Sunday.

CCSA - Guayama - Puerto Rico 12th clenched the Girls’ High School division championship after a heart pounding 15-14 win over CCSA - Guayama - Puerto Rico 11th.
 
In the 9U/10U division, Badboys went toe-to-toe with Concrete in the championship game and emerged victorious, 43-30.
 
Handlelife had a showstopper of a game against Kissimmee Allstar Black in the 4th Grade/11U division, finishing 60-16.
 
In the 5th Grade/12U D2 division, Ponce Bulldogs took home the hardware after a 70-50 win over Kissimmee Allstars.
 
For the 6th Grade D2-D3/12U D1 division, FL - Kissimmee Wolfpack 2027 took a giant lead over the Manatee PAL Thunder and never looked back, 57-23.
 
Blaze Hoops 13U dominated the 6th Grade D1/13U D2-D3 division, winning the bracket 64-24 over Hardwork Hoops.
 
The 13U D1/7th Grade division game was a nail-biter for the First Flight 7th and B.A.L.D.Y. Athletics. After the buzzer, First Flight took home the win, 47-46.


Thunder Supreme 2025 took home the 14U D2-D3 division medal after defeating Penny Ball Academy Red, 58-54.
 
In the 14U D1/8th Grade division, Penny Ball Academy emerged victorious after a 82-66 win over Bad Boys Basketball.
 
Brick by Brick landed themselves the gold medal after toughing it out against Boricua Dynasty, 75-74, for the 15U/9th Grade D1 Championship game.
 
Legacy Basketball 2024 Gold took a double-digit win, 64-54, over Florida Phemons 2024 in the 15U/9th D2-D3 division.
 
In the 16U/10th Grade D1 - FG division, Lake Worth Pride claimed a 69-44 win against Tony Bradley Elite.
 
For the 16U/10th Grade D2-D3 division, Legacy Basketball 2023 battled neck and neck with LA Factory for the championship and came away with a 50-49 win over LA.
 
South Florida Steel were 2-0 in pool play before taking a 74-50 victory against the Tony Bradley Elite in the 17U/11th Grade D1 division.
 
The Ponce Bulldogs claimed a 63-41 win over the Showtime Select for the 17U/11th D2-D3 Championship.
 
In the 20U division, the Utah Thunder Impact A had a nail-biter of a game against the IT - Providence Storms, but came out on top 82-81.
