Jessica Smith Named AAU Beach Volleyball Player of the Year

Smith, who is committed to play collegiately at UCLA, racked up more gold medals in a single year than most people collect in a lifetime.

ORLANDO, Fla - After a highly successful season that included multiple titles at the AAU National Championships and AAU West Coast Junior Olympic Games, Jessica Smith has been named this year’s AAU Beach Volleyball Player of the Year.

 

Smith, who is committed to play collegiately at UCLA, racked up more gold medals in a single year than most people collect in a lifetime. Her most notable victories in 2019 included the 18U AAU National Championship, which she won along with her partner, Camdyn Doucet along with the 16U Division at the AAU West Coast Junior Olympic Games with teammate Natalie Myskowski.

 

Other 2019 Gold Medal wins include the Pier 360 Ocean Sports & Beach Festival - Beach Volleyball Competition in Santa Monica, CA, AAU Long Beach Open, the AAU Dallas TVT Junior Series #9, Volley OC West Coast AAU JO Qualifier in Huntington Beach, CA, AAU Tropic Swim Open, AAU Winter Series #3 in Hermosa Beach, CA and the Silver Medal at the AAU California Regional Championships.
