Sports Stories with Denny Lennon has expanded its programming with a Wednesday Facebook Live at 5 show that will focus on personalities in the world of high school, college and Olympic sports. This week will feature AAU President/CEO Dr. Roger J. Goudy and Kathryn Plummer.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Sports Stories with Denny Lennon, which first started as a weekly podcast featuring several Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) officers and members, has expanded its programming with a Wednesday Facebook Live at 5 show that will focus on personalities in the world of high school, college and Olympic sports. The Facebook Live video will begin at 5 p.m. PST (8 p.m. ET).

This Wednesday, April 15, AAU President & CEO Dr. Roger J. Goudy will address the current state of play in the coronavirus era for the 700,000 member AAU, one of the largest non-profit, volunteer based, multi-sport organizations in the world. Additionally, three-time NCAA Champion and Player of the Year from Stanford University, Kathryn Plummer, will join the show for the first time to discuss her recent international travels.  
 
Dr. Roger J. GoudyDr. Goudy first interviewed with AAU volunteer Denny Lennon on the premiere podcast episode of Sports Stories with Denny Lennon back in October of 2019. Dr. Goudy currently serves in his second term as President of the longest-tenured youth sports organization in the world. He also is the National Chairman for AAU Volleyball, which hosts the largest volleyball tournament in the world, the AAU Junior National Volleyball Championship, at ESPN Wide World of Sports at Walt Disney World. Most recently, Dr. Goudy was elected as the Continental President of America for the International School Sports Federation (ISF), whose mission is to promote among young people mutual understanding, volunteerism, empowerment, peace, non-discrimination, healthy lifestyles, social inclusion, and gender equality. It includes 119 members from five (5) continents representing countries from Africa, Europe, Oceania, America and Asia. 
 
Kathryn Plummer, AAU Sullivan AwardPlummer, a Stanford alum, now plays as outside hitter for the Italian volleyball club, Saugella Team Monza. The California native became the second volleyball player ever to win the prestigious AAU James E. Sullivan Award in 2019. Plummer is a former AAU Volleyball alum and was named the 2015 AAU Beach Volleyball Player of the Year. While at Stanford, she helped her team to the NCAA Division I National Championship title in 2016, 2018 and 2019. Throughout her journey, Plummer garnered several Player of the Year honors, including ESPNW, the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), Volleyball.mag, PAC-12 and the AVCA Pacific North Region.
