Vera Jones on AAU Cares

"Never underestimate the difference YOU can make in the lives of others. Step forward, reach out and help. This week reach to someone that might need a hand!" Vera Jones spoke at the 2019 AAU Leadership Conference and participated in the AAU Cares initiative in Anaheim, Calif.

ANAHEIM, Calif. - Vera Jones, a well-known motivational speaker and former basketball player, recently spoke at the 2019 AAU Leadership Conference in Anaheim, Calif. Her speech was centered around inspiring leadership to “Play Through the Foul,” and working through the adversities of life.

Vera also took part in the AAU Cares Initiative, in which AAU volunteers and leadership, packaged more than 2,000 hygiene kits for the local YMCA organization. She interviewed Second Vice President Joe Guerra about the mission of AAU Cares and the importance of giving back to the community.

Vera Jones is a Motivational Speaker, Professional Development Coach, Author, Award-Winning Television and Radio Broadcaster, and Syracuse University Hall-of-Fame Scholar-Athlete.
