New Title for Maryland District AAU Volunteer: MR. MAYOR!

The AAU leadership, national staff and volunteers are all proud of longtime AAU Member,Bernard “Jack” Young, who officially became the 51st Mayor of Baltimore, Maryland.

BALTIMORE, Md. - The Maryland District of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) is excited to announce that one of its own, the Honorable Bernard “Jack” Young, officially became the 51st Mayor of Baltimore City on Thursday, May 2, 2019.
 
Mayor Young has been an AAU member since 2008 member and a longtime supporter of the Maryland AAU. He has been a leader for the Maryland District for almost ten years (2009), serving in various positions including: Chairman, District Legislative Committee; Honorary Boys Basketball Commissioner, Boys Basketball Staff Member and served on the Maryland AAU Awards Banquet Planning Committee. The Maryland District has proudly been a part of the AAU since 1968.
 
The AAU leadership, national staff and volunteers are all proud of Mayor Young’s latest endeavor. We wish him the very best as he serves the city of Baltimore as mayor.
