AAU Grand National Championship Recap

ORLANDO, Fla (June 27, 2017) - This past week, the AAU hosted the AAU Grand National Championships.

Baseball players ages 9-14 came from across the country to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort.  Teams were able to play in Champion Stadium, where the Atlanta Braves play their Spring Training games.

The AAU was excited about the response from coaches and players about their experience at the AAU Grand Nationals.

The coach from the champion Treasure Coast Crusaders said about Grand Nationals, “The experience here has been great. Disney, AAU have both been top-notch.”

One of the players from the Crusaders, Matthew Karia, said about AAU Grand Nationals, “It was really fun. It was one of the best tournaments I ever played!”

Tamar Johnson, who plays for the Georgia Heat said, “It was a great tournament! I will definitely be back next year.”

Later this summer, the AAU will also be holding the AAU Nationals July 7-13 for players ages 15-19 in Vero Beach, FL.
