2014 Under Armour All-America

2014 Under Armour All-America

This month the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced the 8th annual Under Armour Girls High School All-America Teams.  The teams consist of 100 student-athletes representing 33 states and 90 high schools in total, including 51 AAU members and 8 AAU All-Americans.

In order to be nominated for this honor the player must be in her senior year of high school, nominated by her high school coach, her coach must be a member of the AVCA, and her season statistics with all opponents over the entire season must be entered into the MaxPreps system. Many of these athletes have already committed to play collegiate volleyball at some of the top programs in the country next fall.

Congratulations to all of the players that made up the 100 athletes selected for these teams and a special recognition to the following AAU Volleyball athletes for this great accomplishment.

Nothing Can Stop Northern Colorado Athlete from Running at AAU Junior Olympic Games

John Perales sat on the couch at his home in Greeley, Colo. willing himself not to be sick again. It was less than two weeks before he and his family were set to travel to Detroit, Mich. for the 51st AAU Junior Olympic Games and he knew he would be unable to go to track practice if he was sick again.
