2012 AAU Table Tennis Joel Ferrell Award

Lake Buena Vista, FL-- The AAU Table Tennis Committee is proud to present Anushka Oak with the 2012 Joel Ferrell Outstanding Performance Memorial Award at the 2012 AAU Junior Olympic Games.

This award is named after former AAU President and Vice President of the US Olympic Committee, Joel Ferrell. Ferrell was chair of the AAU Junior Olympic Program for many years and was very instrumental in the growth of these Games. This prestigious award recognizes outstanding accomplishments and sportsmanship of an athlete representing each official sport at the AAU Junior Olympic Games.

Anushka, of  Houston TTA, took first place in Junior Nationals in Division D for Table Tennis. She also went on to take the gold medal in the under 14 singles, under 14 doubles, and under 14 teams division at this year’s AAU Junior Olympics just as she did in 2011 in the under 12 divisions.
