2012 AAU Junior Olympic Games Events

HOUSTON, TEXAS-The 2012 AAU Junior Olympic Games are creeping up on us! July 25^th is the start of what will be two weeks of action packed sports! With 18 sports represented, over 17,000 athletes, and 30,000 spectators will flood into Houston, Texas for the first time invading our four awesome venues: George R. Brown Convention Center, Turner Stadium, Pearland Aquatic Center, and Kinkaid High School. On the days leading up to the opening ceremonies there will be several VIP and press events that you will not want to miss.

Tuesday, July 24, 2012 @ 10am — Proclamation for JO Games during public session of Commissioner’s Court

Tuesday, July 24, 2012 @ 2pm — Proclamation for JO Games during public session of City Council

Thursday, July 26, 2012 @ 7pm — VIP reception at the Grove and Opening Ceremonies immediately following at Discovery Green Park

Friday, July 27, 2012 @ 5pm — Press event with Pearland Mayor, kicking off swimming & diving events at the Pearland Aquatic Center

Thursday, August 2, 2012 @ 7:30pm — Closing Ceremonies at Turner Stadium
