Don’t Have An Event, Want To Create One...Helpful hints:

Decide what type of event you wish to host and sanction. The AAU offers sanctions in the following event categories: National, Regional and District Championships, Invitationals, Leagues, Tournaments, Clinics, Meets, Sports Festivals and more.

The AAU recommends beginning the planning process at least 180 days prior to the event.
|
|
3.
|
Finalize plans with your facility of choice before applying for a sanction.
|
|
4.
|
Make sure you have an adequate number of qualified officials, volunteers, and staff.
|
|
5.
|
Develop the appropriate entry material for your event which includes, (but is not limited to) the following: Cover Letter, General Information and Rules, Sign-Up Sheet, Entry Fee, AAU membership information, etc.

Distribute entry materials to potential coaches and participants.
|
|
7.
|
Contact the National AAU sports manager for assistance in promoting your event.
|
|
8.
|
Remember everyone participating in your event must be an AAU member.
|
