The Brew City Battle, co-hosted by JVA and AAU, brought teams from across the country to Milwaukee.

MILWAUKEE, Wisc. (January 29, 2024) – The Brew City Battle provided excitement and drama for the second year in a row! Over 240 teams from the West Coast, Midwest and East Coast competed in this high-level event. 12 Teams took home a new medal for their efforts this weekend.

The second year of this event remained the same as the first, a two-day boy’s event co-hosted and ran by Junior Volleyball Associations (JVA) and the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). This year’s competition brought athletes from all over the country to Milwaukee to battle it out on the courts.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

The tournament was split into three divisions, Open Premier and Classic divisions for teams 15u – 18u. The 12 divisions were sorted as: 15u Classic, 15u Open, 15u Premier, 16u Classic, 16u Open, 16u Premier, 17u Classic, 17u Open, 17u Premier, 18u Classic, 18u Open, 18u Premier.

Every team arrived with the objective of taking home the gold medal and putting their talent on display. Although all participants displayed remarkable skills, a select few managed to outshine the others. The champions in each division were:
15 Classic - UVC Boys 15 National (NE)
15 Open - C2 Attack 15-1 SMACK (SO)
15 Premier - Ultimate B15 Blue (GL)
16 Classic - MOD B16 White (GL)
16 Open - 630 Volleyball 16-1 (GL)
16 Premier - HPSTL B16 Orange (GW)
17 Classic - HPSTL B17 White (GW)
17 Open - Adversity South 17 Adidas (GL)
17 Premier - 171 Fire (BG)
18 Classic - MOD B18 White (GL)
18 Open - MOD B18 Blue (GL)

18 Premier - MKE Sting 18-1 (BG)

AAU Volleyball is continuing to grow and is on pace for another record-setting year. One of the premier events for Boys Volleyball happened this weekend and is helping to bring the sport to new heights. With only 139 days until the start of Nationals, AAU Volleyball is on pace for another record breaking year.
